Edition Wilhelm Hansen commissioned a new edition of Imprints, a string trio by Henrik Hellstenius. The task was to typeset the composer’s handwritten manuscript into a digitally engraved music score.
Meticulous transcription ensured that the manuscript, with its dense and precise notation, was accurately transferred in every detail. The project also included designing custom notation based on the composer’s handwritten notes. The notes were typeset using Opus, while Palatino Linotype was used for the text.
The final result is a high-quality score that includes every detail from the original manuscript. Despite the complexity and density of the music, the new edition has clear and accurate notation.
